Blood of My Father - The Korean War as told by a Gold Star Family

By Celia Vanderpool

My father did not return from a night bombing mission in a B-26 out of Kunsan, Korea in 1952. This is the true account of what happened from our family's point of view, as we grew up without a father, and expected him to return one day. As adults, we reflected on what we were told by family, the government, rumors and theories, and what we discovered on our own, as the decades passed and there was no word on his fate. To this day, he is one of thousands who are still missing and unaccounted for.
